July 10 to 17
Toiyabe Crest National Scenic Trail. 7 days, 60 miles. Take me to the price page.
We hike the main ridge of the Toiyabe Range in Central Nevada at an average elevation of 10,000 feet from Kingston Canyon to South Twin River. This is a strenous “high and wild” trail with dramatic views along the entire trail.
June 13 to 18
Table Mountain Wilderness, 5 days, 30 miles+-
Lying at elevations ranging from 10,000 to 11,000 feet, the vast expanse of Table Mountain is home to Aspen forests, trout streams, elk herds, sheepherder aspen art and native american built sagehen drive ways dating from 50 BC. Exploring this vast nearly untouched plateau is like returning to the early days of the west. On a clear day mountain ranges 100 miles away can be seen. The first day is a good climb, but once on the “Table” it is easy going.
June 26 to July 2
The Roof of the North, 6 days, 40 miles+-
This is an exploration trip through little traveled terrain in the far northwest of Nevada. The trip starts at the edge of the North Black Rock Wilderness Area. This is a loop trip through seldom visited country far above the Black Rock Desert. We will circumnavigate the North Black Rock Range through highly scenic canyons and mesas to perhaps the most scenic canyon in Nevada aside from Lamoille Canyon.. We will travel via existing trails and cross country as needed. We will use internet tv box sets to recorder our travel. Our average elevation will be above 6,000 ft. This will be a strenous hike with unreliable water sources.
